The Teaming Up For Taxpayers tour hit Chicago and Bloomington this weekend, with Judy & Dan meeting with media and voters to discuss their plan to consolidate the Constitutional offices of state Treasurer & state Comptroller, which would save Illinois an estimated $12 million annually at a time it clearly needs it! Saturday included an ethnic outreach event at Isla Pilipiana in Chicago hosted by Attorney General nominee and friend Steve Kim, and Sunday took the tour to Bloomington to meet with hundreds of motivated Illinois Republicans at the McLean County GOP Women’s rally.
Through the first three days of our tour, Judy & Dan have met with reporters and residents from Decatur, Danville, Kankakee, Tinley Park, Chicago, Bloomington & Chicago’s ethnic communities. The response has been overwhelming! Voters recognize this change is long overdue and the kind of bold move that is required to get Illinois back on track. We very much appreciate everyone who has come out to say hello, including Sen. Kyle McCarter, Rep. Bill Black, former Congressman Tom Ewing, retired State Senator John Maitland, & GOP County Chairmen John Parrott, Karl Kruse, Jason Barickman, and Jerry Stocks – and many others!
